Swan Lake

Blue SwanSunday, May 1st, while about 40,000 other NYers were trying to cycle in the traffic jam TD Five Boro Tour, I took a lovely spring ride in the Massapequa Preserve, surrounded mostly by nature, several other cyclists, and pedestrians.  In the distance I could see a swan sitting in its nest, one swimming in the nearby stream, all surrounded by a canopy of magnificent trees.  Sheer Serentity!

So jealous of all your gorgeous rides.

  2. Thanks Kara, I think there must be beautiful spots wherever you live. Your photos always look great!

Beautiful! Would have given anything for a ride like that last Sunday. I’m looking forward to doing a ride through Long Island next month. It’s supposed to be beautiful and crazy city traffic-free.

  4. Are you doing the Montauk ride? I’m going to a concert that evening, so I passed on it.
It looks like it will be wonderful!
