Hat Trick

No riding for me this weekend, with yesterday’s high blustery winds, and too many tasks on today’s “to do” list.  Unfortunately, since the warm temperatures which arrived here on Friday may have only been a tease, winter accessories are still a timely topic.

Last winter I crocheted the striped beanie with Vanna’s Choice yarns (Lion Brand), colors inspired by the Swedish Olympic Team’s hats.  However, not wanting the slouch, I used a pattern found in “The Happy Hooker” by Debbie Stoller.  It was fast, easy, silky soft, and fits perfectly under my helmet when needed!  Hopefully, the days of needing to keep things under my hat helmet are numbered here, and where you ride.

So cute! I love stripey hats. And it looks warm and toasty.
