 How invigorating to come home so many days this past week or so, to a friendly mailbox holding pamphlets of upcoming cycling tours and rides.  They all look like great opportunities to explore new sights, enjoy the camaraderie of other cyclists, and awaken your senses, muscles, and limbs!  Additionally you have the added bonus of fresh air, sweet scents, and to begin your day with vivid sunrises and spectacular sunsets.  I’m passing the info along to you!  Anyone planning on signing up?  Or if you have other tours to suggest, please do!

     May 1st:  The Five Borough Bike Tour, NYC:  This is a one day 42 mile tour of the boroughs that make up New York City.  Car free streets, and magnificent sights are part of the fun.  It looks like it already sold out, however, if you look further on their site, you will see their are still opportunities to sign up through a VIP price, or through charity sponsors.

May 15 – 20th:  Terry Tour – Sonoma, CA:  This tour is described as taking place off the beaten path on lightly traveled roads with Terry’s new CEO, and guides from Sojourn Bicycling Vacations.

June 18 – 25th:  GOBA:  The 23rd Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure – Cycling over varied terrains with 3,000 other cycling enthsiasts;

July 24th – 30th:  The BonTonRoulet:  This is also known as a festival on wheels through the Finger Lakes riding past quaint shops, beautiful lakes, and historic sites.  It’s limited to 650 riders.   www.

August 18 – 21st:  Lake Champlain, Vt.  Georgena Terry along with two Sojourn tour guides have planned, “four days of varied mileages and epic rides for all skill levels…” Limited to 18 people

    Hi Maureen – have you heard of Soldier Ride? It sounds really neat and I wanted to participate, but they don’t have a ride listed for Atlanta in 2011 😦
