Bikes that Heal

I was in upstate NY for the past few days, in the lovely picturesque town of New Paltz.  Besides many people pedaling uphill on their bikes I was delighted to see two “rental” bike stations, each with a number of white Workman cycles.  The bike are available to borrow for free, but voluntary donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society are greatly appreciated.  What a great idea on so many levels!  http://www.bikesthatheal.org/

Here is info about one day women’s ride to benefit the environment, which looks like it would be a  lot of fun for a good cause!  http://www.terrybicycles.com/tours?kc=em20100729&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cpmaster&utm_campaign=em20100729

That’s great! I always want to ride a bike everywhere I go, but rental bikes are always so expensive. The more bike shares, the better, even if on a tiny scale.
